The movie Footloose, a Paramount picture, has though first took the first place in debut is now lagging behind. This is a remake of the older version of Footloose that was made in 1984. Where the older version was managed to make over $8 million, on the other hand, the newer version has today managed to soar above $20 million. But Paramount expectations were more than this. This was the remake of the older one and wished to make more profit with starring Julianne Hough and Kenny Wormald. In the beginning, the new version made $5.56 million after screening on 3549 screens. Later a comparison was made between the two versions, but Paramount was not yet satisfied with the amount the movie made today in case of the new one. The second place was taken by Real Steel on Friday with Hugh Jackman. This is moving upwards in price and has started off well with $4.5 million and hoping to finish with $14 million. The Thing is doing very well enough. Opening with $3.2 million and hoping to reach $9 million. Other movies that are lagging behind are The Ides of March and Moneyball taking the fifth place with $1.7 million. However, more estimates on the movies will be taken more.
